Help Save My Sweet Doberman
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for support during an incredibly difficult time.
On August 16th, my 4-year-old Doberman suddenly became very ill. She lost her appetite, began vomiting, became dehydrated, and had little to no bowel movements. After speaking with a vet tech twice at All Paws & Claws of Angola, Indiana and monitoring her closely, we strongly suspect she has an intestinal blockage — possibly from something as small and seemingly harmless as a sock. She did end up throwing up a sock 3 days after her initial vet visit but her symptoms of a blockage persisted.
This is a medical emergency. Without surgery, my sweet girl could face unbearable pain or worse... I may be forced to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down or surrender her — not because the condition is untreatable, but because I simply can’t afford the cost of the surgery on my own.
Over the past year, life has thrown more than a few challenges my way. I lost my job last winter after both of my vehicles broke down, which made work nearly impossible. Since then, I’ve taken a new job with lower pay and have been doing everything I can to stay afloat. But with the cost of living rising and being the sole income earner, I’ve fallen two months behind on bills — and now, this emergency has pushed things over the edge.
The estimated cost of the surgery and care is more than I can manage alone. That’s why I’m asking for help — from friends, family, animal lovers, and kind-hearted strangers who understand how deeply we bond with our pets.
If you can donate any amount — no matter how big or small — it would mean the world to me and could be the difference between life and death for my dog. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.
She’s not just a dog. She’s my best friend, my protector, and my family. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping us in our time of need.
With much gratitude,
Spencer
