Hi, my name is Morissa, and I’m the founder of My 9th Life — a small, independent business with a big heart and a spooky soul. I handcraft gothic-inspired cat towers and furniture that let cats live their best nine lives… in style. What started as a passion project for both feline companions and lovers of the unusual quickly grew into something much more: a community of people who celebrate creativity, individuality, and their love of pets.

But now, my business — and my dream — is in jeopardy.

Due to the steep rise in tariffs on imported materials and manufacturing costs, I’m facing a financial wall that I simply can’t climb alone. My current production partners have been forced to increase their prices dramatically, and without immediate funds, My 9th Life is at serious risk of shutting down. Every day that passes makes it harder to stay afloat — and I’m running out of time.

This isn’t just a business to me. It’s the result of years of hard work, long nights, and an endless belief that something unique and magical could exist in the pet world. It’s the countless customers who have written me saying their cats finally have a home they love, that expresses who they are, too. It’s the joy of seeing our community grow, sharing pictures of cats perched on plush towers, of haunted house-shaped perches filled with happy whiskers and flicking tails.

I am determined not to give up.

But I can’t do it without help.

I’m raising 10k to cover the upfront costs of securing new materials and manufacturing that will help My 9th Life thrive despite the tariffs.
