UPDATE:
Thanks to all of you incredible people, we were able to raise enough money to at least get her into student housing with her cats. She will be safe!! Her and I cannot thank you enough for the kindness you have shown her. We will keep you updated when she finally gets into student housing. SHE IS SAFE!!! <3
My name is Alexandra and my sister has found herself in a very hard situation. I will keep her name off of this as to keep her safe. Her boyfriend has been to jail previously for attempting to kill her. Due to money, she had no choice but to stay. I have stayed up many nights with her on the phone making sure she would stay safe while listening to his violent outbursts and threats that would span HOURS. My husband and I have had to threaten to call the police twice now just to get him to leave her alone for a few hours. She is NOT safe.
Last night, he came home recklessly drunk and woke her up to start a fight. He whipped an air freshener canister at her face which thankfully didn't cause as much damage as some of his previous attacks. In self defense while fearing for her life, she threw a candle at him. This prompted him to make a scene and scream at his neighbors to call the police. He lied and manipulated the cops into arresting my sister despite his many previous DV charges and video evidence of his violent outbursts /abuse.
He has threatened me as well, but I am in a safe place. While I have tried to convince her to move in with us, she has just made honors roll, Dean's list, and became the vice president of her class' club. She is in the most important year of college yet. Eventually, she will have a safe space with me but she has a year(ish) left of college. She is doing incredible things and I want her to follow her dreams after years of instability and unreliable people. She deserves at least that much so she can have a future away from the darkest point in her life. I would be lost if she were to lose her life to this situation.
She has been hard at work trying to save up for student housing in order to leave the life of fear, malice, and abuse behind. Unfortunately I am unable to help as much as I would like. I hate asking for help and she has no clue I'm doing this. Every dollar helps if you can spare one. I want to get her into student housing as fast as possible so she can get her degree and follow her passions. I ask for help before she loses her life and I lose a best friend/sister.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this. If you are able to donate, words can not express the gratitude I have for you. Even a share helps.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
