I moved a few months ago, hoping for a fresh start, but since September I've been on layoff from my job. The move came with rent that’s much higher than I used to pay, and last month a tree fell and caused damage to my home. My landlord is new to the role and hasn’t handled repairs well, but I try to extend grace and keep the peace. I run a small restoration shop from my basement, and it’s been my passion for years. Since the move and losing my job, I’ve struggled to keep up with bills and keep the shop running. I’ve poured everything I have into making this house a home, selling my collections and offering major discounts just to make ends meet.

My monthly expenses are overwhelming: rent, vehicle payments, utilities, insurance, and medical costs. Shop supplies and inventory add to the challenge, and while mail-in work orders help, they’re not always reliable. All my profits go straight to bills, leaving nothing to invest in the shop. I have only a few days to raise enough to avoid eviction and losing everything I’ve worked so hard for. My marriage is struggling under the stress, and I’m doing my best to hold everything together.

I am grateful for everyone and everything God has brought into my life. It’s hard to admit defeat or ask for help, but this is one of those moments. With a small boost from kind and graceful people, I believe I can get my shop and myself back on track. I’ve spent all my savings and sold many rare items to get by.
