In 2018, I lost my eyesight due to diabetes. I had retinopathy, total retinal detachment, and severe quick onset cataracts in both eyes. Five surgeries later, I am still left fully blind in my right eye and have severely compromised vision in my left eye with very little depth perception.

My doctor wants to send me to an ophthalmologist for a checkup and to get some much-needed eyeglasses with special lenses to help what is left of my eyesight. It is going to cost $200 to $250 at least for the exam and up to $500 or more for the glasses. I have set the goal to $1250 to cover the GoFundMe transaction fees and padding in case everything costs more than expected. Please help me keep what is left of my eyesight!
