Save My Parrot, Griffin: Emergency Surgery

My little parrot, Griffin, has been my beloved companion for over 20 years. He gives me much joy and companionship and is a sweet, talkative little fellow who loves cuddles and kisses. I’m writing to ask your help to pay for emergency surgery to repair his broken wing, which was crushed by a negligent veterinarian when she gripped him too tightly during a relatively common procedure (trimming his beak and nails), then sent me home with no follow-up care.

I did not know his wing was broken, and he suffered silently, as birds tend to do, all weekend until I took him to a second vet. In time, I may initiate a legal suit for malpractice, but right now I need to pay the new vet to fix his badly broken wing. Unfortunately, my finances have been greatly diminished because of the job losses I have experienced since the pandemic, causing a financial crisis from which I’ve never recovered. I have no resources to draw upon for an emergency like this and I’d be so grateful for your help in this difficult situation.
