Hello everyone. I adopted my cat Iris back in August when she was 3 1/2 months old. She is one of the most loving cats I've ever met in my life, and she has become my everything, including her sister Ivy.
Recently, Iris has become a lot less energetic and has lost most of her appetite. The only thing she will eat is treats. The past few days, we've been growing more and more concerned for her health and decided to take her to an emergency vet. Iris was diagnosed with a disease called FIP, which is fatal.
Recently, there have been medications being tested to treat FIP that have a high success rate, but they are extremely expensive. We had savings for any emergencies for our cats, which unfortunately had to go to an emergency, and we haven't been able to build the savings back up. This was extremely unexpected.
We are hoping to reach out to the public to receive help to get her this medication and treat her, as she is not even one yet and still has a long life to live. Any funds will go towards her medication and vet check ups. Anything would be appreciated.
