Help Save My Mother’s Heart -Lifesaving Surgery in Australia
Donation protected
I am reaching out with the most heartfelt plea I have ever had to make in my life. My mother, Ketty, is 62 years old. She is a loving and beautiful strong woman who has spent her entire life caring for others. This is the second time she has come to Australia from Cuba to visit me and her grandson Neo. We had been dreaming about this trip for years, last year we were finally able to make it happen, and it was supposed to be a time of joy and reunion.
However, everything changed suddenly, while she was here, my mother began experiencing postmenopausal bleeding, chest pain and shortness of breath. We went to see a doctor friend of ours who recommended a series of tests. These tests revealed devastating news for us, she suffers from cervix cancer and coronary artery disease. She needs a heart surgery and after will undertake radiation treatment. Without these procedures her life is at serious risk.
Because she is not an Australian citizen and is only here on a visitor visa, she is not covered by Medicare. The cost of the surgery, hospital stay, and ongoing treatment is overwhelming, well beyond what we can manage alone.
My mother is a fighter. She is the kind of person who always finds a way to stay hopeful and kind, even in the darkest moments. Now, I am trying to do the same for her. I am asking for your help to save her life.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to the surgery she urgently needs. If you are not able to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, or community. Your support means the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. And thank you for helping me fight for the most important woman in my life, my mother.
With much gratitude,
