Our mother's house is going to be condemned if she can't pay her water bill and for the first time ever we have no idea how to fix this.

Tammy is just a few weeks away from 2 surgeries for ongoing medical issues. Our youngest sibling still lives at home to help mom with bills and housework. All 4 of us help out as much as we can, but we don't have the funds this time. Their water was shut off so they are facing condemnation if the outstanding bill isn't paid in 5 days.

My perspective as the oldest, Janice: Nothing has been right since our house burned down 13 years ago. It's like we've been on the run ever since. My mother and us 4 kids survived for years without becoming homeless, but have always faced housing insecurities. We moved 4 different times, I watched her hustle, she was always employed, worked 2 jobs when she had to, and raised us 4 kids. She lost a good job doing what she loved due to medical issues. We've had many ups and downs before, but this time I'm really worried. My whole life I've tried to offset her hardships. This type of stress has been brutal on all of us. I tear up just thinking about it. I've helped her every chance I could with any extra money I had. I helped secure the down payment on this house because I love my mom and I want her to have a secure permanent residence.

Disability was applied for ASAP but it's been pending for months. We come to you all for help only because we have nothing left to give and nowhere else to turn.
