Help save my kitty Chloe: funds for imaging and surgery

Hi everyone,

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Jade Wight. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my beloved cat, Chloe, who needs surgical intervention for suspected cancer.

Chloe isn’t just a cat—she’s my best friend, my child, and the literal queen of my home. I’ve had her since she was a tiny kitten, gifted to me by my best friends and my mom. For the past 8 years, she’s been by my side through everything— changing of homes, moving, on going sickness, loss of loved ones, middle school to now grad school, etc — bringing me comfort, joy, and unconditional love! Now she’s the one who is sick, and I’m trying to do everything I can to help her.

Recently, Chloe was found to have multiple masses in her mammary glands. The vet won’t know whether the tumors are malignant or benign until they can be removed and tested. She’s been struggling for the past few months as she’s been losing weight, having a decreased appetite, moments where she struggles to breathe. She had been improving over the past couple of months until about 1.5 weeks ago when her symptoms returned to their original level, and recently developed a limp so severe she can’t put any pressure on one of her legs. this led to the discovery of her masses.

The vet is recommending an ultrasound to check for internal spread, an X-ray for her leg, and urgent surgery to remove the masses. Without this care, she may progressively decline and I fear I risk losing her.

The total estimate for her treatment is $6,422.22 — this does NOT include the large amount we have already spent on exams, labs, various medications, and urgent care food. As someone currently without a steady income, this amount is overwhelming. I’m doing everything I can, but unfortunately can’t afford it on my own.

Chloe means the world to me. She’s still young and full of life when she feels well. She loves curling up on my lap, sleeping in my most “sat in” spots or on my clothes, and purring her heart out when she snuggles with me. I believe she still has so much love and time left!!
