Help Save My Kitten After Toxic Lily Exposure
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I'm writing this with so much worry in my heart. Yesterday my 5 month old kitten came into contact with a lily flower - something I didn't realise was incredibly toxic to cats. She ended up covered in the flower's yellow pollen, and I rushed her to the emergency vet as soon as I saw it.
Lily poisoning is extremely dangerous and can cause kidney failure with even the tiniest exposure. Thankfully, I caught it early and she was immediately started on IV fluids to try and flush the toxins out of her system. She is staying at the emergency vet for 24 hours, which was all I could afford upfront - but ideally she needs 48-72 hours to be fully safe.
I'm now trying to raise funds to help cover the cost of her emergency treatment, and possibly any follow up bloodwork and care she'll need to make sure her kidneys are okay.
I had to make this decision under so much stress, fear and financial pressure. I'm doing everything I can for her, and just want to make sure I can continue giving her the care she needs and also recover from the cost of saving her life.
If you can donate or even just share this, I'd be beyond grateful. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story.
