After suffering a stroke, I lost my job and was unable to keep up with my mortgage payments. This led to my home going into foreclosure, and now I have received an ejection notice to leave the house that means everything to my family. We have nowhere else to go, and I have been struggling to find assistance or an advocate to help us. This house was a dream come true for us, and my entire retirement savings have gone into making it our home. For the past ten months, the mortgage company has been trying to sell the house at auction every week.

The situation has become even more urgent. The sheriff said that at any point over the next 90 days, they will return and we will have only 20-30 minutes to leave before the locks are changed. The house goes back up for auction on Monday, April 6th. I am still not able to work, and the uncertainty has been overwhelming. Everything we have is here, and losing our home would mean losing the foundation of our lives. The funds raised through this campaign will help me buy my home back or find someone willing to purchase it and allow me to buy it back from them. This support would give my family a chance to stay together and rebuild our lives in the only home we've ever known.
