Help Save My Family

On March 7th without warning my husband was taken by ICE. We have a blended family with 3 kids from my previous relationship and one of our own on the way. My husband is a hard working wonderful man. He was brought as a child to the US. This has been the only country he has known since he was 15. He learned the language and pays taxes JUST LIKE THE REST OF US. We were planning on getting married in the near future, we recently got married while he was in custody (March 29th), and starting the process to make him a citizen. We had already gone to a consultation and were just saving a little bit of money before we moved into our new place. With him being gone I am on my own trying to find a new place to stay and figuring out a way to pay the legal bills that will be associated with this process. Please help us!! Help me help this wonderful man stay. He has done nothing wrong except be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I am heart broken and beside myself. Our little girl will be born in August. I don't want to go through this alone, I don't want her to spend the first years of her life barely knowing her father. He is AN AMAZING MAN, and a doting dad to his 3 step kids. This isn't right. Families shouldn't be torn apart.

He is coming home tomorrow! However, after almost 2 months of him being gone and putting up all the money for the bond and everything I am strapped for cash. All my cushion is gone and my bills are backed up. Our bond payments alone are $400 per month and we will be paying those for the duration of the case. If you can help by donating for bills and attorneys fees that would be amazing. Thank you so much!

A step in the right direction. We got our marriage license today and I am making a trip out to the detention facility this afternoon to fill out the appropriate paperwork to file with ICE for approval. It takes on average 24 hours but never takes longer than a week. So hopefully we will have their decision by mon/tues of next week. I swear to god I feel like it has been 1 step forward and two steps back. I know no why people give up. Unfortunately/fortunately for me I grew up knowing failure was never an option and even if you are met with resistance to keep fighting until you get what you want or a reasonable solution to your problem. Thank you for everyone who has been donating and sharing. The fight is not over it has just begun so please keep sharing and getting the word out. If you can donate even $5 it makes a huge difference. Thank you!!!

I got to see him at the detention facility. Evidently they use to let you visit in the same room. I thought I would at least get to hug him. Nope! Evidently someone messed it up for everyone. Great. So the first 15 min was spent with both of us crying and trying not to cry. I never in a million years thought that a person I loved I would look at through a "prison window". It was so disheartening. To see someone being treated like a criminal who is most definitely not. It was great seeing him and I am thankful for that but it killed me to see him like that. The light in his eyes was dim and sad. He was tired because no one sleeps at night so he barley gets rest. Knowing he's okay helped, I was tired too but I needed the visual contact. I miss him terribly.

Sad news today. I have been back and forth all week to alverado and we finally got the absentee application signed. I took it to Plano and it needs to be redone but they won't take his matricula so I called to another place and they said they wouldn't take it expired. So now i'm beside myself and I don't know what to do. ICE can give him and ID but they rarely do. So now I have no Idea what to do. I'm back to square one and I'm completely lost.
