I’m trying to save the home I grew up in – the last thing I have that connects me to my family.
Over the past few years I lost my entire immediate family. Navigating that grief while also trying to hold onto the house they left behind has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. The property has needed work, the estate has been complicated, and the financial pressure has built up faster than I could keep pace with. Now I’m facing foreclosure and I need help to keep fighting.
In the middle of all of this I’ve kept showing up for other people. I lead a screenwriting group for Black writers getting their projects finished, and I support women working in film. That work matters to me deeply even when everything else feels unstable.
The funds raised will go toward legal fees, the mortgage, and related personal expenses. I’m also open to referrals, advice, or connections if you have them.
If you want to support in other ways, reach out for a link to my Depop store or to purchase a print from my photography work. A share means just as much as a donation. Thank you for reading.
