Help Save My Family Home from Foreclosure
Donation protected
My name is Cathy, and I’m reaching out because I’m at risk of losing my family home at 7909 E 130th in Grandview, Missouri. This house was built in 1976 and has been in my family ever since. My parents lived here until they passed away, and I’ve done everything I can to keep their memory alive—especially after my mother’s passing last year from dementia and cancer. After she died, I discovered she was three years behind on property taxes, and now I’m facing foreclosure with a court date set for June 30th.
This home means everything to me. It’s not just a roof over my head—it’s the place where I grew up, where my family made countless memories, and where I built a memorial garden in my mom’s honor. Losing it would mean losing my only place to live and a huge part of my family’s history. I’m asking for help to cover the property taxes and legal costs so I can keep my home and continue honoring my parents’ legacy.
I have an older sister (60 years old) with a diagnosis of dementia. She’s currently in a nursing home. I haven’t had the heart to tell her my current situation.
Any support will help me fight to save the house and preserve the memories and love that live here. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
