Help save my eggs before cancer treatment

Hi, I’m Emilie, and I have the dreaded “C” word! October 19th our world was turned upside down! My husband and I were told I have cancer and I need to have a hysterectomy ASAP to prevent further spread of this disease. This has been such a shock as I have never had any abnormalities in the past! Those who know us know that we’ve tried to start a family for years, but unfortunately we are childless and extremely devastated with what we are facing. With the possibility of radiation hanging in the balance, we are on a very tight timeline to try to save our only hope of having a child of our own. We would have to create and freeze embryos so that this possibility will still exist for us, just in a non-traditional way of course. As this was sprung on us, we have had no time to prepare. It’s very outside of our comfort zone to be asking for assistance, but I feel that if we don’t at least try there will be regrets later when the opportunity has passed. We know we will make great parents! We’ve been happily married for ten years, we get along fantastically, and we just have so much love to give!
