My name is Melany, and I am trying to raise money for my golden retriever, Bentley.
I don't even know where to start, but I will start somewhere.
Bentley is my golden retriever, my best friend, my baby son and my ride-or-die. I had him since I was 18 years old. He was just a little puppy when I got him. Bentley has always been by my side through every chapter of my life since then. He has been there through all my most darkest times and when I had no one else, this still stand today. No matter what I was going through then and no matter what I am going through now, Bentley has never stopped loving me. I can say this with my entire heart, that if it wasn't for my two dogs Bentley and Rupert ( my little jack Russel ), I would not be alive today.
Now Bentley needs me.
He has a large tumor on his leg that needs to be removed as soon as possible. (there is also a small tumor starting to grow on his face) The multiple vets that I had brought him to ; High Springs VET (FL), Stoneridge VET (TX), Middleton VET (WI), have all told me the same thing after running blood samples, that this tumor is cancerous and very uncomfortable for him. They said that once the tumor is removed it won't be able to spread any longer. His tumor has doubled in size this past year and it has to be surgically removed urgently.
Hearing all of this and paying over $3000 in blood tests and medications to help him has been extremely extremely hard.
Bentley still has SO much life, love and happiness left in him. He is only 8 in a half years old. I cannot imagine losing him because I couldn't afford the surgery he needs.
I'm asking for help because I can't cover the full cost of Bentley's Surgery on my own right now. It is VERY hard for me to even write that, because I am very used to figuring things out myself, but this time, I can't handle this alone.
This past year has been one of the most hardest years of my life. I recently just moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to my Great-Grandparents who raised me. My Great Grandma and Great Grandfather are both going through very very major health problems. My Great Grandpa was just recently in a horrible car accident with the car being hit by a semi and completely totaling the only car that they had. My Great grandfather is a amputee and my Great grandma is a double amputee. They need a lot of help right now and did not qualify for an in home caretaker, that's why I need to be here for them and keep working to make money to help them. Im also still paying off hospital debt from last summer when I was in the emergency room for 5 days. ( I didn't have health insurance, because I just had turned 26, so was taken off my mom's insurance as a co-dependent.) and about 6 months ago I lost my rescue dog Moppy to cancer/major health issues from prior owner neglecting her and am paying off Carecredit debt of $3420 left from trying to save her. ( I wear my heart necklace which has her ashes inside so she is always close to me every single day, I never take it off. ) I am paying these debts including my monthly bills which have been very hard for me. Words can not even explain...
I am not sharing this because I want anyone to feel bad for me. I am sharing it because I want to be honest about why I'm asking for help. Bentley's surgery is not something I can wait on.. he has been there for me through every hard season of my life, and now he needs me to fight for him.
Anything donated will go directly towards Bentley's surgery, vet bills and post after care. Even a small amount will help more than you know, and if you aren't able to donate if you would be able to share Bentley's story, this would mean everything to Bentley, Rupert and I.
he has given me unconditional love all these years and I pray to the Lord for many more years with my Bentley.. thank you for helping me try to save my best friend. <3
