Hi, my name is Alex, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult moments I’ve ever experienced.

Just recently, my loving pup, Nova was bitten by a rattlesnake completely out of nowhere. What started as a normal day turned into a nightmare in a few seconds. One minute we were outside like usual, and the next, Nova started swelling from her neck and mouth areas.

I rushed her to the emergency vet, where they confirmed it was a venomous rattlesnake bite. The antivenom and treatment are life-saving — but also extremely expensive. Between the emergency vet visit, antivenom, overnight care, and follow-up treatment, the medical bills have quickly added up to $5-6k.

As much as it pains me to ask for help, I can’t do this alone. I love Nova more than words can describe. She is more than just a pet — she is my family, my companion, my best friend. Seeing her in pain and fighting for life is heartbreaking.

*Hey everyone, update on beautiful Nova. She fought hard throughout this time and we tired everything possible to save her from more pain. Unfortunately Nova took her last breath in the early morning of Sunday September 21st. She was a strong girl that wasn't giving up but eventually the venom was too strong and kept fighting back.

Nova, my family and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to share and donate to Novas medical expenses. Her fighting spirit will forever live on.
