I never thought I’d be in this position, but my beloved cat Wado Ichimonji is very sick and I need to ask for help.

Thursday morning, Wado suddenly became very unwell. After rushing him to the vet, blood tests revealed that his kidneys are failing, his white blood cell count is very high and his glucose levels are dangerously high. The vets explained that he needs urgent treatment including overnight care, and ongoing care to give him the best chance of survival.

I love him more than words can say—he’s not just a pet, he’s part of my family. He has helped me through my darkest times, and the thought of losing him so soon is heartbreaking. Unfortunately, I have already spent a large amount at the vet today, and my financial situation is very difficult right now. I simply can’t afford the full cost of the treatment he desperately needs on my own as it won't be covered by his insurance but I cannot bear the thought of having to weigh up my finances against his life.

Estimated Costs Breakdown:

Initial blood tests & consultation: £349 (already paid)

IV fluids, antibiotics & medication: £448 (already paid)

Overnight monitoring & hospitalisation: £850 per day (3 days paid)

Follow-up blood tests & ongoing treatment: £400 minimum per day (2 days paid)

Total needed: approx. £1500 (or more if he requires care beyond 48hours)

Please help me give Wado the chance he deserves, he's done so much for me. He’s truly a fighter, he's already showing signs of improvement after just 48 hours of treatment - his glucose levels were off the charts at admission and have already gone down drastically now he's being given insulin, he's responding well to fluids (gained a bit of weight) and has started walking again. With the right care, I truly believe he can make a turnaround. He still has many more happy years ahead, I hope you can help make this a reality.
