Help Save My Brothers' Lives
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
(UPDATE)
It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved brother, Zain, has passed away from this earth. His loving wife, Sarah, and our whole family are beyond heartbroken.
Zakariah continues to fight for his own health and is still awaiting a heart transplant in NYC.
After conversations with Sarah, we are all certain that Zain would want Zak to be well cared for. Therefore, going forward, all of the money donated here will be used solely for medical expenses associated with Zak's heart transplant and recovery.
We all believe that this is what Zain would have wanted and, indeed, insisted upon.
Please feel free to visit Zain's website where his best self is shown through his writing and poetry. We will forever love and live in his memory. RIP Zain, 4/18/23.

(BACKGROUND)
My name is Raeah, and I am setting up this fundraiser for my two brothers, Zain and Zakariah. (Zain is pictured in the middle, Zakariah is on the right of Zain).
My family has truly been the only thing we have, which is each other. We have grown together through all of life's difficulties, a little more than what is known to be "normal".
But, what is normalcy anyways?
My two older brothers both received heart transplants when they were each 13 years old. Thankfully, they survived, and have been living on their life-long medications. Unfortunately, their current hearts aren't as life-long as they should be. Now, at ages 32 and 25, Zain and Zakariah are both in need of another heart transplant, once again. Zak is currently in motion to be placed on the transplant list, and Zain will also need a new transplant. However, this time, it is a little different. My brothers are adults now and are currently going through this vicious cycle simultaneously, and it is much more difficult to receive a heart transplant when you're an adult versus a child or teenager. With any health risks, older age, and other requirements to be eligible for a new heart, it can take a long while before they can receive their new hearts and continue waiting on the transplant waitlist.
This is more important to me than anything else in my life. They both are such strong individuals, exceeding beyond so much more than is imaginable. Zain has just gotten married to his wife Sarah, living happily in Nashville, Tennessee. Zain graduated college and is a writer, editor, and an amazing poet. He has been living his life as much as possible every day and works harder than anyone I know. Zak has also just graduated college in computer sciences and cannot wait to fulfill his dreams. Zak is the sweetest, most gracious person I know. He is constantly doing for others, no matter the bad days. My brothers are my inspiration, and knowing/understanding what they have gone through and continue to do so, is what has made me a better person today.
I am hoping, and praying, to raise money to help with the payment for their transplants, as insurance can only cover a certain percentage. All donations will be split evenly between both of my brothers, 50% each. If you choose to donate, it will be used directly towards their transplant costs, medical bills, hospital trips, and medications. Any donations will be greatly appreciated by our family and of course, my brothers. Truly, thank you for your time and generosity, as this will help give them a third chance at life. #SyedStrong
