My brother is a 47 yr old man trying to take care of himself while going through dialysis from home 7 days a week and 5 treatments a day. He's losing everything and can't keep up with bills. He's been fighting with a lawyer to get disability for many months now but has been told everything is on a pause federally at the moment. Including Medicare and medicaid. His medical bills alone are approximately 5000 a month, not including the 3 surgeries he had to just start dialysis. His home bills run about 2500, which includes mortgage, but again, it's not feasible at this time. He is struggling and doesn't know what to do besides asking for help. He is working with a social worker, but programs are extremely limited. Thank you for listening to his story.
