I’m absolutely heartbroken to share that my beautiful girl, Kayda, has passed away.

After weeks of fighting, the vets discovered that her bile duct was blocked, and she needed urgent surgery.

They performed a cholecystoenterostomy, connecting her gallbladder to her intestine. The surgery itself was a success, everything looked positive, and for a brief moment, I thought she was finally on her way to recovery.

But about an hour after surgery, Kayda’s vitals crashed. The team resuscitated her twice, but despite their best efforts, she passed away shortly after.

I can’t begin to put into words how much she meant to me. Kayda wasn’t “just a cat.” She was my baby, my best friend, my shadow. She brought love, comfort, and light into my life every single day.

Losing her so suddenly has left me completely shattered.

I’m now facing the difficult reality of paying the remaining vet and surgery costs, as well as the cremation and aftercare expenses to give her the farewell she deserves. The total for everything has already reached over £2,300, and the surgery and final care added even more.
