Hi, my name is Richard, and my best friend Alicia and I are fighting to save our beloved cat, Mushu. What started as unusual behavior quickly turned into a nightmare. Mushu became distant, stopped letting us pet him, and had trouble using the bathroom. When he became lethargic and unresponsive, we rushed him to the emergency vet just before closing. We were told he had a blocked urinary tract — a life-threatening condition in male cats. Without treatment, he would not survive. We were even advised to consider euthanasia due to the high cost. That was never an option. Mushu is family. He is our baby. We chose to fight for him. He is currently hospitalized and has undergone catheter treatment. While he is stable, he is not out of danger yet. The catheter had to be reinserted after he was unable to urinate on his own. We are still waiting to see if he will fully recover and come home. The financial burden of his emergency care has been overwhelming, and costs are continuing to rise as he remains hospitalized and in need of ongoing treatment. Giving up on him is not something we can do. Funds raised will go directly toward Mushu's emergency veterinary bills, hospitalization, procedures, medications, follow-up visits, and preventative care to reduce the risk of this happening again. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page helps more than you know. And if you’re religious, please keep Mushu in your prayers. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting our family during this incredibly difficult time. With gratitude, Richard
