Help save Murphy the bulldog
Donation protected
I got Murphy a little over 2 years ago, he is 4 and a half now. I adopted him the moment I laid eyes on him knowing I wanted to give him the life he deserved. He was found on the side of the road and has had a history of anxiety, neglect and fearfulness. I wanted to show him nothing but love.
It's been him and I for a while now, just a guy and his dog. On the day of our move (8/18) i saw something was off with him. He was having lots of breathing problems. He started losing color and turning grey to which I rushed him to a 24/7 vet. They treated him and got him breathing again after having to work on him for a couple of hours. Seeing tubes in him was hard. But the news the vet told me afterwards was worse.
Bulldogs apparently have an issue with a pallet in their windpipe and it requires a major surgery. The surgery cost a little over 6 grand, I've already paid for the ER which drained my bank account but in order for Murphy to live a healthy life he would need the operation. If he doesnt get it he could die. Even with his pet insurance the surgeon needs the money up front and none of the fees are guaranteed to he covered so insurance may cover 0% and I do not want to chance that.
So that brings me here. I dont want to surrender my best friend. I want him to have the life he deserves. He is home resting but time is a factor. I'm doing my best to find funds but this has not been something I expected to happen. I thank you all for even reading this very long story.
All I can say is I love my dog and I cant imagine my life without him after everything him and i went through.
