Dear,
Friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters.
My name is Takdir Anis Khan, and I am reaching out with a humble and urgent plea to support the treatment of my beloved father, Mr. Anis Khan, a 63-year-old man who bravely battled a series of severe health complications.
In August 2024, my father suffered a major stroke, followed by life-saving brain surgery (posterior fossa decompressive craniotomy) and a tracheostomy. His recovery was complicated; Klebsiella Infections, Septic Shock, Aspiration Pneumonia, GI bleeding, and Acute Kidney Injury caused by strong antibiotics. He spent months in the ICU at Manipal Hospital, Goa, on a ventilator, receiving multiple rounds of IV antibiotics, steroids, antiepileptics, and intensive critical care.
Despite the odds, my father has shown extraordinary resilience. He is now conscious, breathing with Oxygen support, and slowly recovering. However, he still requires round-the-clock nursing care, oxygen support, physiotherapy, and continued treatment. He currently has a tracheostomy tube and PEG feeding tube in place.
Why We Need Your Help ?
The past few months have drained us emotionally and financially. We have already spent our life savings and taken on debt to cover his surgeries, ICU bills, medications, and tests. The journey ahead is long and costly. Now, he needs neuro rehabilitation, SLP, and robotics-assisted gait training at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Mumbai, India.
The estimated cost required for his ongoing extensive neuro rehabilitation, nursing setup, medical equipment, supplies, and follow-up treatment is $50,000 CAD.
We are turning to you—our friends, community, and generous strangers—for help. Every dollar you contribute will go directly towards his treatment. If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing this campaign.
We believe in miracles—and in the power of community. Your support will not only help my father recover but also bring hope and relief to our family in this painful time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, kindness, and generosity.
with gratitude,
Takdir Khan
Son of Mr. Anis Khan
