Help Save Moxie: Pittie Posse Founder's Beloved Dog

Moxie is a beloved dog who is lucky enough to call Britt and Sully, the founders of Pittie Posse Rescue & Sanctuary, her humans.

At Pittie Posse, when it rains, it often pours — and right now, Moxie needs our help.

Last night, Moxie suddenly wasn't acting right...

Known to be an absolute food hound, it was deeply concerning when she became lethargic, refused food, and was cowering in pain.

Britt & Sully rushed Moxie to our friends at MVMC, and the diagnosis that they were given knocked the world out from underneath them... splenic cancer.

At eight years old, this wasn’t the news they ever expected.

Despite an estimated $15,000 cost for treatment, Britt and Sully didn’t hesitate to make the decision to do everything they could to save Moxie’s life. She was rushed into emergency surgery at 9 PM last night to have her spleen removed.

The good news is that Moxie made it through the surgery. Given her critical condition, it's nothing short of a miracle that she is awake and recovering today at MVMC.

She will remain in the hospital overnight and will have to stay until tomorrow morning.

Britt and Sully, founders of Pittie Posse Rescue, are some of the most selfless, passionate, and caring people you could ever meet. They would give you the shirt off their back and do absolutely anything for animals — and that’s exactly how Moxie came into their lives.

Eight years ago, just before the Fourth of July weekend, Moxie unexpectedly entered their world.

Another local rescue reached out, asking if Britt and Sully could foster this little bat-eared dog for just a few days.

Moxie had already been in four foster homes...in one week.

With boarding unavailable due to the holiday, Britt and Sully agreed to help — and Moxie never left.

From that moment, she became their family. They immediately fell in love with her curiosity, her sense of humor, and her giant radar ears.

Despite her playful nature, Moxie keeps them on their toes every day with her love for barking, her devotion to keeping her toys VERY safe, and her fierce loyalty to her family.

Britt and Sully have dedicate their lives to helping animals...
