About a month ago, our beloved cat Moonshadow started showing signs of illness: reduced appetite, eating litter, vomiting daily, constipation, lethargy, and becoming unusually quiet and antisocial.
Since then, we’ve had 3 vet visits, tried 6 medications, administered subcutaneous fluids, done 3 X-rays, a urinalysis, a urine culture, and 7 different blood tests, and we still don’t have answers.
She’s scheduled for an ultrasound this Wednesday, but if that doesn’t reveal what’s wrong, the next step is a CT scan and/or biopsy, which could add another $2,500+ to the $2,500 we’ve already spent (she is worth every penny).
As many of you know, we lost our other cat Disco just 11 months ago. I can’t bear the thought of losing Moonshadow too. She's been with me all 14 years of her life, through every chapter, through the ups and downs, and through 3 homes, and she still has so much life left to live.
Unfortunately, I’ve been unemployed for nearly 5 months and don’t start my new job until next month, so the financial strain is very real right now. I don’t want cost to stand between her and the chance to get better. So I’m humbly asking for help.
Any amount helps. Even a few dollars or just sharing this means the world to us.
Thank you so much for reading and for caring.
