It's strange to me how someone with the kindest heart can have a faulty one. Mom, Cindy Ruth,  has developed a staph infection and a blood clot in her LVAD pump. Her ideal treatment plan is for a third surgery to replace the pump and six or so weeks of IV antibiotics. Unfortunately, the antibiotics cost $1000 a week. The hospital has been searching for other manufacturers that may have it cheaper, but so far haven't had any luck.
The doctors have informed Cindy that if she cannot afford the medicine, they will have to sadly stop all treatment and transfer her to hospice care to live out her remaining days.  With the infection and clot, those days would be very numbered. If we can raise the funds for her IV antibiotics she will have many more years. I cannot let my mom, Cindy Ruth,  down. Not this time. I know times are hard for everyone. I wish I could do this myself and not have to ask, but we can't do this alone and we need all of your help. Any help you can give. A prayer saved Cindy through the first two surgeries.
