Not many people know, but on June 28, 2024, my mom was hospitalized for blood sugar that dropped to 28. The doctors said that this wasn't compatible with human life. They ran tests and transported her to Springfield Regional where they ran more tests and kept her stable until July 4, 2024. They told her they couldn't see anything and they had no idea what happened, so they released her.
On July 6, 2024, it happened again, but worse. Around 6pm, her blood sugar was at 14, so she was taken back and transported to Springfield Regional again. They were taking 20 vials of blood for tests a night, did more MRIs and CTs, and kept her stable. On July 11th, they came in and told her they still couldn't see anything but she had to have a tumor in her pancreas because that's the only thing that made sense to them. They told her OSU has a more in-depth ultrasound that they can view her pancreas with, so they were transporting her there. OSU had her for almost 4 days then released her without doing the ultrasound or finding anything.
She hasn't been able to work since this all happened. I've been trying to help as much as possible but between being there for her and getting back into college, I haven't been a big help. She's lost her car, her job, and she's en route to losing her house. We've contacted places about help with rent, bills, food, etc., but have only got help with food so far which still has to take effect. Although she has no answers and doesn't know if this is going to happen again, she's gotten a new job and is awaiting verification. Rent is due again in a few weeks and we are absolutely lost, so I've decided to try to do this to help out my Momma. If anyone can help out, anything helps, or just spreading the word about our situation! Thank you so much!
