Hi, my name is Adanna E. and I’m urgently raising funds to save my dog Moana, my 8-year-old Husky and my absolute heart. Today I found out she has pyometra, a deadly uterine infection that will take her life if she doesn’t get emergency surgery as soon as possible.

This all happened so fast. I took her to the vet because she was swollen, leaking fluid, and was acting uncomfortable. After tests, they told me the words no pet parent wants to hear — “She needs emergency surgery to survive.” Pyometra is fatal if it’s not treated in time, and waiting is not an option.

Moana is not “just a dog” to me. She is my emotional support, my best friend, and my family. I struggle with seizures, and she has been by my side through every hard moment in my life. She comforts me, protects me, and gives me a reason to keep going every single day. I can’t imagine my life without her, and I’m heartbroken that we’re in this position.

The estimated cost of her emergency surgery, hospitalization, and medications is around $3,000 to start — possibly more depending on her condition during surgery. I hate asking for help, but I’m doing everything I can and I cannot afford this alone. I’ve already started applications for CareCredit/ScratchPay, but I was denied, and I am reaching out to assistance programs, but I need help immediately to save her life.
