Hi, my name is Tracie, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my dog, Mira.
Mira is not just a pet—she is family. She is my shadow, my comfort, and one of the most loving souls I’ve ever known. If you’ve ever loved a dog, you understand how deeply they become part of your life.
Three years ago, my life changed forever when my son passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. It’s a loss that never goes away—you just learn to live with it.
During that time, Mira became so much more than a dog. She was there for me through the darkest days, never leaving my side. She gave me comfort when I didn’t think I could get through the pain. In so many ways, she helped carry me through my grief.
Now, Mira needs me.
She has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in her thyroid, located in her throat. Surgery is not an option, but we are doing everything we can to give her time, comfort, and the best possible quality of life.
So far, we have already gone through CT scans, ultrasounds, and radiation planning. In one week, we will be traveling to Saskatchewan for the next stage of her care, which includes another CT scan and continued treatment.
I have used my savings to get her this far without hesitation—because she has given me so much, and I want to give everything I can back to her.
I am asking for help so I can continue her care, cover travel and treatment costs, and make sure she is comfortable and surrounded by love every step of the way. The cost of radiation treatment alone is approximately $10,000, not including travel, accommodations, and ongoing care.
If you are able to donate, share, or even just keep Mira in your thoughts, it would mean more to me than I can put into words.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for caring about Mira. ❤️
