As we share this, our hearts weigh heavy.
Our beloved dog Mia was just diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis. Tomorrow she turns 6 years old. Instead of celebrating her birthday, we’re fighting to save her life.
Mia isn’t just a pet, she’s family. She’s been by our side through everything, always there with her wagging tail, gentle eyes, and unconditional love. Seeing her suddenly become so sick has been heartbreaking.
She is now facing a lifelong battle that requires:
• Insulin injections twice a day ($200/month)
• Prescription diabetic and pancreatitis-safe food
• Frequent vet visits and bloodwork
• Monitoring supplies like syringes and glucose testing materials
• Emergency care if her blood sugar becomes dangerous
We’ve already begun treatment, giving her insulin every 12 hours after meals and carefully monitoring what she eats. Some days she struggles to eat, and every small improvement will be a huge victory to us.
Unfortunately, the cost of her care adds up quickly. Between the diagnosis, medications, special diet, and ongoing vet visits, the financial burden is more than we can manage alone, but giving up on her is not an option.
Every donation, big or small, helps Mia get the care she needs to fight this disease. Our goal is $1,500 to help cover her ongoing treatment and give her the best chance at a happy, healthy life.
We are doing everything we can to give Mia the life she deserves, one where she can still play with her furry sister, and enjoy her days surrounded by love.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount helps more than you know. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page means just as much and helps us reach others who might be able to help.
Thank you for taking the time to read Mia’s story and for helping us fight for her life.
With our deepest gratitude,
Mia’s family❤️
