Metro is 3 years old, sweet as can be, and fighting cancer.

Someone who had been feeding him noticed he was declining and reached out to our organization (@helpmiamicats) for help. That call led him to me. When I got to him, I found a cat with a cancerous tumor in his mouth — in pain, struggling to eat, his little body working overtime just to get through each day.

But here’s what gets me every single time I look at him.

He still wants to live.

Despite everything he’s carrying, despite the pain and the uncertainty — he is still here, still sweet, still trusting. He didn’t give up. He’s just waiting on us to catch up to him.

Surgery is the only thing that can give him a real shot. Without it, the pain doesn’t stop. It only gets worse. With it, this sweet 3-year-old cat could have the life he never got the chance to live.

Metro tiene 3 años, es dulce como él solo, y está luchando contra el cáncer.

Alguien que lo había estado alimentando notó que estaba decayendo y se comunicó con nuestra organización (@helpmiamicats) pidiendo ayuda. Esa llamada fue lo que lo trajo hasta mí. Cuando llegué a él, encontré a un gato con un tumor canceroso en la boca — con dolor, sin poder comer bien, su cuerpecito dando todo de sí solo para sobrevivir cada día.

Pero hay algo que me parte el alma cada vez que lo miro.

Él todavía quiere vivir.

A pesar de todo lo que carga, a pesar del dolor y la incertidumbre — sigue aquí, sigue siendo dulce, sigue confiando. No se rindió. Solo está esperando que nosotros respondamos por él.

La cirugía es lo único que le puede dar una oportunidad real. Sin ella, el dolor no para. Solo empeora. Con ella, este dulce gatito de 3 años podría tener la vida que nunca tuvo la oportunidad de vivir.
