(Update: Meowlix’s condition is not getting any better and unfortunately he will have to go on a Ventilator that is estimated to cost $8000 on its own. We are hoping that this will help improve his condition as he is unable to breathe on his own right now).

Hi everyone,

My sister’s kitten, Meowlix, is in critical condition and needs your help. At just 4 months old, Meowlix was rushed to the emergency vet and with suspected aspiration pneumonia. He is currently hospitalised for what the vets think will be at least 5 days, receiving oxygen therapy, IV fluids, and round-the-clock care in an intensive care unit. They have said that his breathing has gotten worse and we are very concerned. They have not been able to definitively diagnosis him and have had to run additional

tests.

Meowlix is the heart and soul of our home, a curious, cuddly, and gentle boy who has already brought so much love in his short life. Seeing him weak, hooked up to tubes, and struggling to breathe has been absolutely devastating.

The vet bills are estimated to be around $4,600 potentially more aa the day progresses, and as a solo cat mum, my sister simply doesn’t have the financial means to cover it all. Every cent raised will go directly toward Meowlix’s hospitalisation, medication, and recovery support.

We know that times are tough, and we wouldn’t ask if we weren’t desperate. If you are able to donate, share, or send a message of support, it would mean the world to us. No amount is too small.
