I just wanted to update everyone:
At 4:00 this morning we got a call that her vitals were declining and they were administering a second transfusion to make it till morning.
At 9am they did the ultrasound and invasive procedures to find where the lesions were coming from.
At 10 o’clock we received the call we had been dreading. It was inoperable. Her liver was covered in cancerous lesions that were bleeding out and this wasn’t as simple as removing just one or even a few nodules.
at 4pm today, here at home, we’ll be saying goodbye to our sweet girl. I can not begin to thank everyone enough for allowing us the gift of these answers and this extra time with her through your love, care, support and donations.
we love you all so much.
meow meow forever and ever
This is a post we never thought we’d have to make under circumstances we could’ve never imagined.
If you know Brianna and I, you know that earlier this year we unexpectedly and abruptly lost our beloved English bull dog, Mercy. Mercy wore a lot of titles around our household but most notably and most importantly she was Meow Meows sister. A title we like to believe Meow Meow wears proudly.
Yesterday 12/5/25 without any signs of decline or warning, Meow Meow fell ill. We believed it could’ve been as simple as a lodged hairball but nevertheless, given the events that transpired earlier this year with Merc, we weren’t taking chances. We rushed her over to the vet for an evaluation. When the doctor came back in the room - I’ll be honest I don’t even know if I heard what she said after cancer and blood transfusion.
Yes. The answer was yes. We’ll do whatever it takes.
If you’ve ever had the opportunity to be in the same room as Meow Meow, chances are you’ve been initiated into part of her pack whether you know it or not. And you know what it is to be loved by her. She’s weird, quirky, feisty, fast and an absolute ball of the softest material the heavens could only dream of. And at only 11 years old she still has so much life to give.
I never in a million years imagined I’d make one of these. And especially not under these circumstances. But we’ are desperate to save her.
Meow Meow is currently undergoing blood transfusions to begin the process of clotting the blood that has already pooled in her stomach, known as Hemoabdoman. She is under care at a 24 hour facility where in the next day or so they will administer ultrasounds to monitor how the blood transfusions are responding and to assess where this issue is coming from and how to begin the process of recovery. They’ve quoted us at a little over $5000.
It’s the holidays and I know that this is a precious request we’re asking. But even taking the time to read this means more to our little family than you know.
From the bottom of our broken hearts,
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
