Help save Matt, Eva and Eric's home

I am creating this fund to assist a wonderful man with a catastrophic event. Matt is a single dad to two amazing 10 year old twins. He is one of the most hard working people you will ever meet. He is not used to asking for help, but would be the first to offer everything he had to help someone else. That is why I think this is so important.
Matt got heating oil delivered one day; like all of us do; and a few hours later noticed a smell. 75 gallons of heating oil spilled out onto his dirt basement and was seeping into the ground. Here is an article from the local paper outlining the situation
Here is what we know:
—The spill occurred due to a failure in his oil tank and is not covered by his homeowner's insurance policy.
—The DEP was notified of the spill and Matt was informed that this type of spill has to be tested, soil removed, a structural engineer brought in and more testing until the DEP is completely confident that the hazard has been removed.
—The DEP has deemed the property a “disposal site” meaning cleanup is non-negotiable and must be done by licensed professionals on a very strict time table.
—Matt has already burned through his savings and taken personal loans to satisfy the first phase of this process.
—Although the total cost for the clean-up will reach $100,000, the emergency response and first phase alone is in excess of $25,000.
It is looking increasingly like Matt may have to sell his home when this process is complete to then pay for it. This money will help Matt and his children keep their home, by defraying the cost of paying for the clean up, testing, structural engineer, soil removal and disposal, new soil to replace what was removed and a years long monitoring process and governmental fees. If the oil has reached any water supply, the costs could go even higher. I thank you for your consideration in donating to this.
