We went to the same school, studied together, played together, ate together, shared the same dormitories together, and grew up together at Budhanilkantha from class 4 to 10. 39 years on after leaving school, we came to know that our childhood friend Man Bahadur BK is in hospital with cancer of the oesophagus, he cannot speak, and he is being fed through a tube. Doctors have told him the cancer is too advanced for any surgery, the only hope for treatment is Radio Therapy or Chemo.

Him and his young family were already struggling to make ends meet, now this calamity has come upon them. They have no savings, no family assets and no income, they cannot afford hospital bills for any of the treatments. His only chances of survival have been left to human kindness and generosity.
