My name is Daisy, and I'm asking for help to save my best friend, Maleficent. Mal is my beautiful 10 year old black cat, but you would never guess she's 10. Her veterinarian says she acts like she's only two years old, and every vet we have been to say that she's the sweetest girl. I adopted her when she was just two months old and we have been inseparable ever since. She's incredibly playful, full of personality, and never shy about telling everyone exactly what's on her mind. She's always talking, following me around the house, asking for attention, and making me laugh with her silly antics. She has brought so much joy into my life.

A few days ago, everything changed. Mal suddenly began vomiting, stopped eating normally, and could no longer use the restroom. We rushed her to the emergency veterinarian, where X-rays and an ultrasound revealed an intestinal obstruction. The doctors believe it may be a large hairball along with another object that she accidentally swallowed. They have recommended emergency exploratory surgery to save her life. The estimate for surgery is very high, and that does not include medications, hospitalization, follow-up care, or possible emergency procedures if complications arise.

As much as I wish I could cover this on my own, I simply can't. Asking for help is incredibly difficult, but Mal deserves every chance to recover. She is still such a vibrant, loving cat with so much life left to live. Seeing her curled up sleeping all day, barely eating, and unable to be her playful self has been heartbreaking.
