Hi everyone,

My sweet kitten is currently fighting for her life after being diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a rare and once fatal disease. She’s just a baby, only about 6 months old, and her whole world has been turned upside down so suddenly.

A few days ago, she stopped eating, became weak, and started breathing heavily. I rushed her to the vet, and she was diagnosed with wet FIP, the form that causes fluid buildup around her lungs and makes it hard to breathe. She’s now hospitalized and in an oxygen tank, receiving antiviral medication and supportive care to give her a chance to survive.

The medication for FIP is extremely expensive, and the hospitalization costs are already adding up quickly. Despite that, I couldn’t give up on her — because she’s still fighting, and I know she wants to live.

FIP used to be considered a death sentence, but with new antiviral treatments, many cats can now make a full recovery if they get the right care in time. I’m doing everything I can to give her that chance, but I can’t do it alone.
