Help Save Mabel – Our Brave Staffy Cross Fighting Cancer

This is Mabel — our sweet, silly, and strong 6-year-old Staffy cross who means the absolute world to our family. She’s not just a pet; she’s a best friend, a cuddle buddy, and the heart of our home.

A few weeks ago, we noticed something wasn’t quite right. Mabel, who’s usually full of energy and joy, had lost a lot of weight and just wasn’t herself. After rushing her to the vet, we were devastated to learn that she had a large, cancerous mass in her intestines.

Since then, Mabel has been through more than any dog should ever have to face — multiple operations, blood transfusions, and countless scans. After her first major surgery, we thought she was in the clear, but complications meant her intestines began leaking. She had to undergo a second, urgent operation to save her life.

Despite everything, Mabel has shown incredible strength and spirit. Just two weeks after her last surgery, she’s already bouncing around and showing signs of her happy, playful self again. She truly is a puppy at heart and clearly isn’t ready to give up — and we’re not ready to give up on her.

But while Mabel is on the road to recovery, our family is facing the unimaginable.

My mum, who is a single mother to two young children, has been left with a £10,000 vet bill. On top of that, they are now facing eviction from their home and have been told they must leave by May 2nd. The stress and heartbreak of trying to keep Mabel alive while also trying to keep a roof over their heads has been overwhelming.

We’re asking for help — however big or small — to ease some of this burden. Every donation will go toward paying off the vet bills that saved Mabel’s life and helping my mum and siblings through this incredibly tough time. Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world.
