Luke Christian Jervey was born February 22, 2008. It was determined very early on that something was wrong with his little heart. This brave little fella had his 1st open heart surgery to fix a congenital heart defect (Transposition of the Great Vessels) during his first week of life. He needed open heart surgery again at 2 1/2 years old and at 8 years old, when he needed a valve replacement. Luke is now 13 years old and we just found out that he will once again need heart surgery. He will head down to Charleston, SC this week from Columbia. His surgery is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2021.

Anyone who has met Luke will tell you that he is just as good as they come. He is funny, smart, handsome, and so brave. You would never know the pain he has had to endure. He has been a warrior all of his life.

This fundraiser will benefit Luke and his mom, Laura. This is such an emotional burden on Laura, Luke and his little sister, Olivia. As you know, the financial burden is substantial. Your donation will go directly to Laura to help with meals, expenses and co-pays. She will also be out of work, as a nurse, for the rest of the year to stay and care for Luke once he gets home.
