For the last 4 (almost 5!) years, our little family has been defined by the love we have for our Dalmatians. We don't have kids, but the rewards and challenges are undoubtedly on par. They are our world.
Unfortunately, our four-month-old puppy, Fiorella, tested positive for parvo. After 3 days of fighting hard and giving her round-the-clock care, she passed away. We're devastated, my heart aches. She was the happiest, most curious girl, and damn smart. Her favorite thing was to nuzzle her little head right under my chin and wag her tail furiously.
As we are coping with that loss, her brother, Louis (also 4 months old), began showing signs. We immediately took him to the vet, and unfortunately he tested positive as well.
Faced with that reality, our only option to save his life is to hospitalize him. We hope we caught his early enough - he is currently in hospital getting the antibiotics and medication he needs, along with fluids and a feeding tube. Inpatient care is not cheap - our quote from the doctor has been updated today to $7,500 - $8,000 out of pocket.
All funds we receive here will go directly toward Louis's hospital costs. I'm not usually one to ask for help. As very new business owners, we came into it with all we had and have been bootstrapping since the beginning. The reality is that we need your support. Any help you can spare will mean the world to us and our spotty family.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Xoxo
