Dear Friends and Supporters,
We at Akomaplus Health and Wellness Foundation are calling on your generosity and compassion to support a cause that touches thousands of lives every year—heart health in Africa.
This World Heart Day (September 29th), we’re organizing a free cardiovascular screening event in Accra, Ghana, with the goal of screening 1,000 individuals from underserved communities. Our aim is simple but urgent: detect heart disease early, provide education, and empower people to take charge of their cardiovascular health.
Why This Matters
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally, and Africa is no exception. In Ghana, many people live with undiagnosed hypertension, heart disease, and other silent killers—simply because they can’t afford basic screening or access preventive care.
By offering free blood pressure checks, cholesterol, glucose testing, BMI measurements, and personalized health counseling, we hope to catch the warning signs early and help our people live longer, healthier lives.
But we can’t do it without you.
How You Can Help
To make this event a reality, we need to raise funds to cover:
Medical equipment and supplies
Venue and logistics
Health education materials
Volunteer support and refreshments
Post-screening follow-up for high-risk individuals
Every dollar counts. Whether it’s $10, $50, or $500, your donation will go directly toward impacting real lives on the ground. Imagine helping a mother discover she has high blood pressure before it leads to a stroke—or enabling a young man to take action against early signs of heart disease.
Be Part of the Change
Your support isn’t just a donation—it’s a heartbeat, a second chance, a lifeline.
Let’s come together to create a healthier future for Ghana, one heart at a time.
Donate today and help us reach 1,000 hearts this World Heart Day.
With gratitude,
The Akomaplus Health and Wellness Foundation Team
