More than 500,000 people – nearly a quarter of Gaza’s population – are enduring famine-like conditions, while the remaining population is facing emergency levels of hunger.

Food aid is the only real way for most people inside Gaza to eat.

The World Food Programme is delivering food to vulnerable communities inside Gaza and welcomes the recent commitment from parties on the ground to improve operating conditions for humanitarian organizations, including the implementation of humanitarian pauses that should allow for a surge in food assistance.
