Well as they say it takes a village and I am praying right now that the village comes through. Today I was driving when I saw this little dog get hit by a car in front of me. The driver did not stop and the dog ran to the side of the road absolutely terrified. I got out of the car and managed to chase the dog for almost 10 blocks finally cornered him in a garage where I was able to throw a towel around him and get him to safety. I took him to the emergency at truecare here in the valley and they have already charged me almost $3,000 just to have him stay there overnight. I have very little money as I'm an adjunct professor at Cal State Northridge. They said that they can operate on the dog tomorrow morning but if I don't have the money they cannot do it and then the dog will be taken to the pound where it will be euthanized
When we saw him we fell in love with him and we really feel this poor little dog deserves a second chance in life given all he's been through and especially since the vet said he can lead a normal life if we get the surgery for him. If not he will be euthanized.
I know so many folks are suffering and struggling financially right now but please if you can see your way to give any amount I would be very appreciative and so would little pinocchio. Or as some great philosopher whose name I cannot remember right now once said I cannot save the world but maybe I can make a difference in saving just one life.
