Help save little muffin

Donation protected
This is Muffin, a one-and-a-half-year-old puppy who's been fighting for his life in the ICU with ulcerative bleeding in his stomach. Muffin was first admitted to the hospital for vomiting due to ingestion of a foreign object (which ended up being a palm seed). Before he could go into surgery, however, he collapsed and stopped breathing for around one minute. The fast-acting team at the hospital were able to hook him up to life support and keep Muffin alive, and by a miracle and his will to live he made it through surgery. Sadly, the surgeon found that Muffin's stomach lining was severely damaged and bleeding. They're still not sure what caused the bleeding and, therefore, were not able to remedy it in surgery, which is why Muffin is still fighting for his life.

This sweet puppy is 100% love. He loves to meet new people, give kisses, be held, and spread love in any way he can. Everyone that meets Muffin immediately falls in love with him because he immediately falls in love with you. The good news is that Muffin is slowly making a recovery; his vitals are normalizing, and he has begun to eat again. We know that he isn't ready to give up, and we want to keep fighting for him, but the hospital bills are quickly putting pressure on his recovery time. Muffin's mom has already paid over $30,000 in hospital bills due to the intensive life support he’s required: breathing tubes, red blood cell transfusions, plasma transfusions, whole blood transfusions, fluids, sedatives, antibiotics, pain medications, IV nutrition, and 24-hour surveillance and care.

There have been many ups and downs on his healing journey so far, but he's a fighter and he keeps pressing on. The doctors say that he had a couple of easy outs if he wanted to go, but the fact that he's still fighting shows that he wants to be here and make it through this. If he weren’t still a puppy, the doctors say he probably wouldn’t have made it, but because he is so young and otherwise healthy, he has a fighting chance. By a miracle, and with all of the blessing and prayers we've received, he has made it this far, and we’re starting to see the light. Any help we can receive to keep Muffin on the road to recovery would be greatly appreciated.
