This past week, my sisters family’s 4-year-old Pomeranian-Yorkie mix, Lexi, experienced sudden and serious medical complications. Due to some kidney issues, Lexi suffered a seizure which sparked the emergency vet visit. After some testing, we’ve been told she may need kidney removal surgery to survive. The vet bills are already substantial, and the potential surgery would add even more to the growing cost.
Lexi is not just a pet — she’s a treasured member of my sister’s family. She was brought into their lives as an emotional support pet for their oldest daughter after the loss of another beloved dog, and since then, she’s become a source of comfort, joy, and emotional support for the entire household. My sister has four young children who absolutely adore Lexi — she’s their best friend, playmate, and snuggle buddy.
We are doing everything we can to get Lexi the care she needs, but we can’t manage the financial burden alone. Any help, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. Your generosity will go directly toward Lexi’s medical expenses and give her the best chance at recovery and a healthy life.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Lexi’s journey.
