Our beautiful 4-year-old dog, Leo, has recently been diagnosed with high-grade B-cell lymphoma. Without treatment, we’ve been told he may only have a couple of weeks left with us.
Leo isn’t just a dog, he’s our baby. Anyone who knows myself and Josh knows how much he means to us and how loved he is by everyone around him. He’s the most gentle, happy, and loving boy, and this diagnosis has completely broken us.
Just before receiving this devastating news, Leo developed an abscess in his neck which we later found out was caused by the lymphoma. It required urgent surgery. The cost of this operation came to £7,000 and unfortunately used up the entirety of his insurance cover. Shortly after, we were told about his lymphoma diagnosis and that the only treatment that could give him a fighting chance is CHOP chemotherapy, costing a further £8,000.
CHOP treatment could extend Leo’s life significantly, potentially giving him years more with us instead of weeks. We are determined to do everything we can to give him that chance, and we are putting all of our own funds into his treatment as well.
To help raise funds, myself and Josh will be running the Torbay Half Marathon on 20th September 2026. I’m hoping to raise £5000 towards Leo’s treatment, and I’ll be doing it all for him.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and go directly towards Leo’s treatment. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would also help us more than you know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Leo’s story and for any support you can give. ❤️
