Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I am here asking for help to save my best friend — my dog, Leon.
Leon is an 8-year-old rescue who has been with me through so many of life’s ups and downs. When I first adopted him, he was scared, shy, and unsure if he could trust people again. Over time, he blossomed into the most loving, goofy, loyal companion I could ever ask for. He has been my rock through difficult times, always there to comfort me, wagging his tail, giving me hope.
A few weeks ago, I got the heartbreaking news no pet parent ever wants to hear: Leon has cancer in his leg. It’s painful, it makes him limp, and there is a high risk it will spread to the rest of his body if we don’t act quickly. The recommended treatment is to amputate his leg so that he can live a longer, pain-free life.
I want nothing more than to give Leon that chance — the chance to run again without pain, to live out his golden years with love and comfort, and to keep being the light in my life that he has always been.
But the reality is, the surgery is expensive, and we cannot afford it alone. We’ve looked into every option — including loans — but with low credit, we’ve hit a wall. It hurts to know that money is the only thing standing between Leon and the care he needs.
We are asking for your help. Every single donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Leon’s surgery, recovery, and medication. Even sharing this fundraiser can make a difference.
Leon isn’t just a pet. He’s my family. He’s the dog who greets me at the door every single day, the one who lays his head on my lap when I’m sad, the one who survived a rough start in life and learned how to love again. I owe it to him to fight for him — and I’m asking you to help me fight.
Please help us give Leon the chance to live, love, and be pain-free. Thank you so much for reading and for caring about him. Your kindness means the world to us.
Thank you so much for your kind consideration, anything helps.
