Leo is our special boy that we rescued last December at age 2 due to an owner surrender in Miami. We got zero information on his background and wanted to rescue to give a dog a loving home after a brutal loss of our previous bulldog to an unexpected brain tumor. Bulldogs are my heart and soul. Leo is a wonderful, playful, and loving boy who suffers from anxiety, impulsiveness, and fear inside the house which has led to him lunging and trying to attack our kids. It has been difficult to say the least. We have been working with our vet, tried several medications and tried training ourselves but it is too overwhelming. We met Nikhil today from K9 National Services: an amazing certified and licensed behaviorist who said he can save Leo! Nik absolutely believes Leo can be helped and trained to eliminate his mental health issues. It will take 8 months of training and is unfortunately extremely expensive. The cost: 8K dollars. I am striving to raise half (or even just anything!!!) to help cover the cost to save Leo. Euthanasia just can not happen to this beautiful bully. He is so amazing in so many ways. He loves to play with toys, fetch balls and his favorite deflated football, snuggle on the couch, find rocks to carry in his mouth, and roll in the grass.
